30A Final Reflection
1)
Read
through your posts from this semester. Recall all of the experiences you've had
a long the way -- the highs, the lows -- the fun moments, and the moments of
drudgery, and even the moments of dread.
The
best assignment was the bug list! The bug list was enlightening. After
partaking in the assignment, I walked away with a deeper meaning; complain
less, think of why such annoyance exist, it will change not only change the way
you complain but limit your complaints by offering a new perspective, reasoning
and solution for a problem. This assignment was great in creating a more
positive outlook than negative outlooks. The least favorite assignment was… to
be honest I can’t think of an assignment I dislike. Each assignment was
insightful although sometimes extensive, the intent of the exercises was
recognized. These assignments allowed us to walk away with more of an entrepreneurship
spirit and minds.
2)
What
sticks out to you as the most formative experience? The experience that you'll
remember years later? What was your most joyous experience? What
experience are you most proud of yourself for accomplishing?
As previously stated the most joyous
and formative experience was by far the bug list! I will remember this
assignment years to come. I am most proud of myself for accomplishing my opportunity.
I was able to form an opportunity and expand on it for 4 months in details. I
now have the skills to proceed to create other opportunities.
3)
At the
beginning of the semester, I mentioned that I wanted each of you to develop an
entrepreneurial mindset. Now, at the end, do you see yourself as an
entrepreneur? Do you think you have moved closer to developing an
entrepreneurial mindset?
Yeeeeees! Not only, did you develop
more of an entrepreneurial mindset, but you gave us exercises and skills which
developed us week by week which allowed me to feel like an entrepreneur. I walk
away with a new perspective for entrepreneurs, after reading the books within
our reading reflection, which helped me understanding the journey of
entrepreneurship, after completing these enlightening assignments, I now
understand entrepreneurs are not required to have extensive capital, failure is
not bad for failure builds growth, believe in your concept even when some are
skeptical, find a need in demand and fulfill it; the possibilities are endless.
4)
What is
the one recommendation you would make to the students who are going to journey
down this path in the future? What would you recommend they do to perform best
in this course? What would you recommend they do to foster that mindset?
I
recommend incoming students to consider this course more than a grade but an
experience. Look not only for what you can receive but what you can give. To
perform best in this course set aside time to focus solely on the assignments.
Purchase a calendar book to write down and keep track of assignments. The
assignments can be extensive but if you prepare ahead of time you will complete
the assignment to your best of abilities. I recommend incoming students to come
in with an open-mind. Delve deeper into the assignment with the intent to gain
a greater insight.

Candice! I think it’s really awesome that the bug list was your favorite assignment (lol). I tried not to use “lol” at all this semester so I apologize for that, but yeah. I like the takeaway you had from that. And now that you’re more an entrepreneur, I hope you keep finding things out about yourself and continue to grow! Good luck in your future endeavors! PEACE!
ReplyDeleteThe bug list was so tough for me. But I low-key liked it a lot. I don't usually look for problems so I got to be a different character. It was extremely fun doing something different. Thank you for sharing your vision, and I look forward in see how you change the world.
