26A Celebrating Failure

1) This past semester I struggled to remain balance in all sectors of my life: God, church, school, family, friends and work. Due to the lack of balance in each section of my life I have experienced suffrage.Due to increase work obligation and a mandatory overtime period I neglected two homework assignment, attendance of important church events, quality time spent with love ones, and increased stress on the job due to increase performance pressure and most importantly the mistake of creating a new-normal by placing the Lord second to such things. The Lord is forgiving and knows  my heart. Although, I failed in my duties this semester the momentum and changes I have learned will propel me to make better decisions next semester. That's a blessing in life to always know one has a second chance.

2) This past semester has served as an eye-opening experience as a new student at the University of Florida Business School Program. Through my experience as a transfer student I have gained insight into the rigorousness of this elite program. Initially I entered into this program with the pre-notion of completing each course in a desire timeframe specified by myself and breezing through each course with flying colors with moderate personal devotion. However, this semester has shown the necessary  time qualified in order to excel in the academic coursework and the proper timeframe required for the successful completion of this major. Failure has taught me patience and trust. Patience with the Lord. Patience with myself. Trust in the timing of my life. Failure has taught me the important of relationships. Relationships with school and classwork. Relationship with family and friends. Relationship with the Lord. In order to have a successful relationship yielding success one must be devoted.

3)Although I have falter I have remained steadfast with belief in myself to complete this program with the upmost honors. One must not look down on failure but arise. Failure is a part of personal, emotional and spiritual growth. One must experience failure in order to realize who and what he or she is. Through this course and personal experience I am more prone to taking risk. I delight in the honor of a second chance.

  1. What’s up Candice? I hear you with this post right here. There is not enough time in our lives to do everything we want to do and it’s frustrating! I’m glad that you have been able to learn from your experiences though and become more patience and to have trust. Honestly, time management is a valuable thing to learn from a “failure” so keep pushing! God bless!

  2. Candice, balance is the most important aspect of living a fulfilled life. Right now, you are going so fast that twist and turns trip you up. I am so glad you mentioned remaining steadfast. I love that phase, stead and fast. I learned that this phase a few months ago, going slow is smooth and going smooth is fast. Keep at it! Balance is the hard to master but once you do, everything is cake. Thank you for sharing your story.
