14A Halfway Reflection
1. In order to remain solid within this course, I have been attentive, consistent and tenacious. Due to this course I have developed writing skills, analytical skills and research skills.
2. This semester I have been tenacious, however occasionally The feeling of defeat as reared its ugly head. After completing a week of working a full- time job with a normal schedule of 40- 46 hours week paired with other daily duties and extracurricular activities, I am tired and honestly at times overwhelmed. However, when I vision the future and the completion of not only this course but this degree program I know the current obligations this course demands is worth the future success of this course and program.
3. Three tips I would offer potential incoming students is to remain focus, cater a day only for rest and be patient. Tenacity does mean one has to constantly be moving and working. To develop tenacious one must know when to work and when to rest to remain balance which helps to remain tenacious. Focus is important to see the end point, rest is important to regain strength, energy and focus to dismiss feeling overwhelmed. Patience is important, it is easy for one to desire to fulfill goals with eager, yet such anxiousness can feel overwhelming. Theses are my 3 tips to foster the skills which will promote tenacity and develop the tenacious mindset.

Hey Candice, very well done. I had a little trouble understanding at times, but after rereading it I think I got it. I agree that patience is important for this class, especially when coming up with a good idea. I think a lot of people forget to be patient when they are trying to be tenacious, which was a fun way of thinking about it. Keep up the good work!
ReplyDeleteHey Candice, very interesting comments. I think patience is a cool way to describe the approach to this class. Giving yourself time and freedom for your business ideas is crucial, I found even more so when you avoid procrastination in this course, because you are not going to come up with the perfect business idea in one night. Anxious thinking is not good thinking in the business world.
ReplyDeleteI love the perspective of balance as you tie it into tenacity. I am always on the move and give my best 100% of the time. What ends up happening is, I get really burned out. I feel that its difficult to be at full power all the time. Like a phone, I need to be charged. I haven't dedicated a day of guilt free relaxation in a while. I'll take this tip and run with it. Awesome Job.
